What Happens First

If you think we could be a good fit, call, text or email! We can set up a 15 minute phone consultation and chat about what is going on in your life. 

The first step can be a scary one. Be brave! This investment of time, energy, emotion, and money is no small thing. But I promise- its worth it. Your healing and peace is priceless.

What happens next

Once we establish that you and I are able to work together, we schedule your intake assessment (60 minutes). At this appointment I ask lots of questions and get an overview of your situation and life. This gives me a starting place for your unique needs. At the end of that session, we schedule the next one, and get to work on helping you heal!

What to expect

Generally, our work will focus on helping you heal from the past and strengthen your core identity and self-esteem. That’s the overall gist, and you’ll start feeling lighter and more grounded pretty quickly. 

Then you’ll notice you feel more encouraged and willing to attend to your own needs. Eventually you will be able to focus on your life and your future.

Do you write letters for Emotional Support Animal verification?

No.

Do you take insurance?

No, I am private pay only.

At my practice I value your right to choose how your mental health services will be provided.

This means that your insurance won’t limit what we do together.

I am not “in-network” with any insurances so I will be happy to provide you with necessary information to file with your insurance company for “out of network” benefits.

You may be able to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider for some or all of the payments you make to my practice.

At your request, I can provide you with invoices (superbills) that contain the necessary insurance billing codes for you to submit to your insurer.

I have Tricare, how can I get reimbursed?

I am a Certified Nonparticipating Non-Network Provider with Tricare East/Humana Military.

If you are a Tricare beneficiary (using TRICARE Select, TRICARE Reserve Select, TRICARE Retired Reserve, TRICARE Young Adult-Select or if enrolled in TRICARE Prime Remote) , you will receive reimbursement for your costs of therapy. If you have TRICARE Prime, you can choose to use the Point of Service option.

How it works:

You pay at the time of the session, I provide you with a superbill (basically a sheet showing all your paid invoices from sessions), and you submit that to Tricare, who reimburses you directly. For more details click here.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend a session, my policy requires 24 hours notice beforehand. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your session you will be charged the full session rate.

Are you in person or virtual?

Our in-office sessions will be at my office in Columbia, SC.

Our online therapy sessions will be provided through a HIPAA compliant software.

How do you accept payment?

Payment is collected at the time of service online via credit or debit card in your secure client portal.
